New CNG station opens Monday in Tulsa

As gas prices continue to rise, more people are switching to alternatives like compressed natural gas, which means the demand for CNG gas stations is growing. On Monday, Apache Corporation is opening the city of Tulsa’s fourth public CNG station.
The city of Tulsa’s fleet of around 20 CNG vehicles may be the station’s first customers. Mayor Dewey Bartlett created the Office of Sustainability in hopes of spurring natural gas development within the area.

Tulsa chimp dies after fight with troop mates

The Tulsa Zoo is mourning the loss of 20-year-old Alvin the chimpanzee. He died Tuesday following a weekend altercation with his troop mates.
Zoo officials say an altercation broke out Saturday between Alvin and several other chimps in the group. He was separated, examined and treated by veterinary staff.
Tulsa Vigil Held For Trayvon Martin

A candlelight vigil will take place Monday evening at the University of Tulsa to honor a Florida teenager shot to death by the head of a neighborhood watch program. 17 year old Trayvon Martin was killed by 28 year old George Zimmerman one month ago on February 26th. More >
