Tulsa gas prices among country’s lowest

According to a new survey, the lowest gas prices in the country are right here in Green Country. The latest Lundberg Survey shows gas prices have jumped 11 cents nationwide in the last two weeks.
While the national average inches closer to $4 a gallon, prices in Tulsa are about $1 less than the most expensive places. Right now, average prices in Tulsa are sitting at $3.52, but at most Tulsa-area QuikTrip stations prices are as low as $3.48, a 3-cent drop over the weekend.
Gingrich assails Obama on oil

Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich Tuesday called President Barack Obama’s energy policy “outrageously anti-American.” Gingrich said Obama want to see the price of a gallon of gasoline rise to the European level of $9 or $10.
“His policy has been outrageously anti-American energy,” the former U.S. House speaker said on CBS News. “The high price of gasoline is a direct result of Obama.” Gingrich said the Democratic president envisions “a fantasy world where we’re all going to wind up buying an electric car.”

Tulsa losing American airline jobs

American airline announced to mover 200 of it staffers from Tulsa to Texas.
Airlines officials said Monday the company is consolidating employees of the Maintenance Operations Center, which oversees aircraft maintenance at line or overnight maintenance stations, with the Systems Operations Center in Fort Worth.
